Introduction

In the span of 50 years from 1965 to 2015, Department of Chemistry has been progressing horizontally to cater the needs of students and society. For the welfare of students, with help of Indian Society of Environmental Science & Technology (ISEST), Lote chapter, department has organized an "Industrial Exposure Lecture Series", industrial visits and short term in-plant training courses. To meet the demand from the students and industrial sector, department has introduced a U. G. C. sponsored "Industrial Chemistry" course, post graduate degree course i.e. M.Sc. Organic chemistry and Certificate course in Industrial Chemistry.
